It looks like Palm was serious when they discussed plans for getting their phones onto more carriers next year, and it looks like Verizon isn't the only one to be getting the Palm Pre in 2010. According to Total Telecom, Telefonica O2 Czech Republic (otherwise known as T-O2) is currently testing the Pre for use on its network, and is slated to release the device there early next year.
T-O2 is a subsidiary of Telefonica, which already sells the Pre in several European countries including the UK, Spain, and Germany. It'll be interesting to see what kinds of announcements come from Palm on deployment to European countries that don't have a Telefonica subsidiary within their borders, such as France.
Palm used to sell their wares through some 120 carriers worldwide, and hopefully this move indicates what will be a significant trend for them next year: rapid and aggressive channel expansion both here in the US and abroad.
